au d\u00e9tour d&#8217;images en studio, d&#8217;une voix-off,  d&#8217;une phrase dans une interview, ou du g\u00e9n\u00e9rique. Est-ce l\u00e0 une injustice ? A vrai dire, cela d\u00e9pend de la mani\u00e8re dont on voit les choses. Si nous aurions appr\u00e9ci\u00e9 un petit focus sur la participation du mythique Vincent Price, les d\u00e9c\u00e8s de Rod Temperton (2016) et Bruce Swedien (2020) associ\u00e9s \u00e0 la brouille entre Quincy Jones et l&#8217;Estate, ne permettent pas d&#8217;approfondir certains aspects de l&#8217;\u0153uvre Thriller mais les interviews de musiciens comme Steve Lukather, Greg Phillinganes, Paul Jackson Jr ou encore Anthony Marinelli laissent entrevoir des donn\u00e9es du travail en studio. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Quand on visionne le documentaire, de toute fa\u00e7on, il ne viendrait \u00e0 l&#8217;esprit de personne de dire que &#8220;Thriller&#8221; est l&#8217;\u0153uvre de Michael Jackson tout seul. R\u00e9guli\u00e8rement sont rappel\u00e9s les contextes et influences (y compris pour la danse), tout en mettant en avant les aspects visionnaires de l&#8217;\u0153uvre Thriller&#8221; dans son ensemble. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les id\u00e9es diffus\u00e9es par le documentaire restent classiques entre l&#8217;envol solo de Michael et son \u00e9tat d&#8217;esprit pour aborder l&#8217;album, la volont\u00e9 de John Landis d&#8217;ajouter au vid\u00e9oclip &#8220;Thriller&#8221; une jeune femme pour sexualiser MJ ou encore les \u00e9v\u00e9nements (le bras de fer avec MTV, Motown 25, le &#8220;Making Michael Jackson&#8217;s Thriller&#8221;, l&#8217;accident sur le tournage publicitaire pour Pepsi,&#8230;)  qui ont provoqu\u00e9 la croissance exponentielle des ventes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Comme dans la plupart des documentaires &#8220;officiels&#8221; des artistes actuels donnent leurs opinions ou livrent leurs t\u00e9moignages autour de Thriller ( Usher, Mary J. Blige, Mark Ronson, Terry Lewis, Jimmy Jam, Raphael Saadiq, Maxwell, Misty Copeland, etc.) avec un int\u00e9r\u00eat fluctuant pour le spectateur. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L&#8217;une des id\u00e9es qui revient dans ce documentaire y compris vers la fin est qu&#8217;il serait malvenu d&#8217;enfermer Michael Jackson dans la case &#8220;musique noire&#8221;. L&#8217;\u00e9poque &#8220;Thriller&#8221; ne se r\u00e9sume pas qu&#8217;\u00e0 un album studio. C&#8217;est la meilleure option qui existe.
